Moving your ATCOenergy plan is easier than choosing a sofa for your new place. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Your move out and move in dates
- Your new address and Site ID
- A phone number or email address where we can reach you
That’s it. We’ll take care of making sure your energy plan moves with you to your new home.

- Will my ATCOenergy plan move with me?
Will my services be interrupted?
No. Just let us know when you’re leaving your current home and when you expect to move in to your new home, and we’ll take care of the rest.
How much notice should I give before I move?
Let us know as soon as you can, but 5 days is enough time to make sure everything goes smoothly.
I’m moving into a brand new build. Is there anything I need to know about setting up services?
Congratulations on your new home! It does take a little longer to set up services at a new location, so please give us at least 5 days to get things ready. Your distributor may also charge a connection fee.
I won’t be moving into my new home immediately after moving out of my current home. Can I pause my ATCOenergy plan?
Yes, you can put a hold on your ATCOenergy plan for 90 days between your old address and your new address.
Should I shut off my power when I move out?
Please don’t. Shutting off your power could cause serious damage.
Let us know your moving dates and we’ll connect with your distributor to stop services at your old address. If someone else is moving in right after you, your services will stop that day. If your home will be vacant, it could take up to 5 days to drop services.
