Our ATCOenergy social media channels are space where we connect with our valued customers and the community, share energy info, and support meaningful discussions. We encourage open conversations, questions, and feedback, while promoting a respectful and positive environment.

We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful online space for everyone. We will not tolerate any content or behaviour that goes against our values and community standards. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Insults and Offensive Language: Any comments or posts containing insults, profanity, offensive language, or hate speech will be removed.
  • Harassment and Cyberbullying: Harassing, stalking, or bullying individuals or groups is strictly prohibited.
  • Misinformation and Spam: Please refrain from sharing false information, spam, or any form of misleading content.
  • Advertising and Self-Promotion: We do not allow unsolicited advertisements, self-promotion, or unrelated commercial content.
  • Personal Attacks: Engaging in personal attacks, threats, or any form of abusive behaviour will not be tolerated.
  • Discriminatory Remarks: Comments or posts that target individuals or groups based on their nationality, race/ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or political beliefs will be removed.
  • Infringement: Do not share content that violates intellectual property rights or other rights of others.


Our staff, who are local Albertans just like our customers, are here to monitor and engage with you. They will review and moderate comments regularly to ensure that discussions remain respectful and relevant. If any comments violate our rules, we will take the following actions:

  • Inappropriate or rule-breaking content will be promptly removed from the page.
  • Users who repeatedly violate our guidelines will be given warnings. If violations persist, we may ban users from our page.
  • We reserve the right to block users who consistently disrupt the community or engage in abusive behaviour. Severe violations may also be reported to the platform administrators.
